Bulger Veterinary Hospital
This relocation of a 40-year old veterinary hospital included a 17,000 square foot ground-up construction. The floor plan was developed to maintain a strong overlapping of departments to facilitate team building and collaboration. The hospital revolves around a single 2-story treatment room shared by all services. Client amenities include separate ER/specialty flows, dedicated cat areas, long-term waiting with fireplace, and visibility across the public space and exam rooms, in addition to a number of exterior client amenities. The building exterior was developed to emphasize the connection to downtown Lawrence’s historic mill architecture and orient the building for optimal solar exposure and landscape views.
